JOHN P. STEARNS '49 of South Orange, N. J., who is Undergraduate Editor of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, was named editor -in-chief of The Dartmouth last month, succeeding Thomas W. Gerber '43. Stearns, who was managing editor of the daily, is the son of Malcolm Stearns '08 and the brother of Kendall Stearns '37. He is a Rufus Choate Scholar and a member of Sigma Chi and Casque and Gauntlet.
