ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, JUST IN TIME to hold off a popular uprising, the Dartmouth Club of Springfield held one of its occasional meetings. The weather could have been better, but the crowd was large and enthusiastic in any case.

Following the dinner, Bob Hage showed his model of the proposed Hopkins Memorial Center and described the proposed building in detail. He also gave us a general idea of how the campaign is progressing.

Following his remarks, Professor Arthur Wilson spoke to the group on the Great Issues course, describing its ideals and its results to date. Professor Wilson spoke for what he thought was an ample coverage of the subject, but the crowd kept him talking in answer to questions for another hour.

These two visitors from Hanover lived up to the high standards of our Hanoverian visitors of the past. It was an exceptionally fine meeting, as ours always are.

As frequently happens, we were very happy to welcome visitors from out of town, and those present included: Henry B. Flinn '14, Harold Corwin '15, Andrew McClary '16, Ray Adams '19, George Page '20, Tom Byrne '22, Arthur Coakley '22, Stewart Eldridge '24, Osmer C. Fitts '26, M. J. O'Leary '26, Ken Kent '28, Edson Phelps '29, Dick Butterfield '30, Richard Wilcomb '30, Steve Williams '31, Bud Titcomb '36, Hartness Beardsley '37, John Latchis '37, Paul Olson '37, Phil White '37, Bob Mensel '41, Alex McPherson '44, Ronald King '44, and Alvin Battison '48.

In addition, in line with the policy of inviting the fathers in, we were happy to welcome Harry King, father of Ronald.
