A VISITOR from the College—that's the kick-off signal for one of our best dinner meetings each season. This year's event was held Friday, April 2, at the Columbus Athletic Club with Professor John W. Masland as our guest of honor. Thirty-one men gathered for the evening's festivities—19 grads, 7 undergrads, 5 guests.
Convivial hour—food for the inner man then a varied bill-of-fare for the intellect. Professor Masland served up a most illuminating discourse on the Great Issues course, making many aspects of its workings and meanings clearer to us. Then his talk switched to his experiences as attache to our occupation government in Japan. As an authority on government, his services there were of great value. We're indebted to him for a most enjoyable evening.
Earlier in the day, our visitor met with some of us for lunch, then put in a couple of licks for the future by getting acquainted with two groups of applicants for the Dartmouth class of '52.

A special vote of thanks to Russ Webster, who stepped in on short notice and managed the entire affair, when your secretary was unexpectedly forced to devote himself to a personal matter.
