ON SATURDAY, MARCH so, a small group of Tacomans were honored by the presence of Sid Hayward, who brought with him the latest news of happenings at Hanover. These visits to us on the West Coast by representatives of the College are all too few and it was indeed a pleasure to hear first hand of the work in progress and of the faculty at our College.

Those present at the meeting were Fred Shaneman '24, Art Thompson '27, Norm Henshaw '36, Bruce MacMeekin '38, Ken Hugo '39, Bill Hyde '39 and Allan Browne '45. During the course of the luncheon the idea of forming the Dartmouth Club of Tacoma was born. The formation of this club is by no means to be considered as in opposition to the Dartmouth Club of Seattle, but its main purpose is to give the alumni of Tacoma and the adjacent Southwestern Washington area a better chance to have more regular meetings. The long established tradition of having joint picnics in Seattle and Tacoma will certainly continue.

Another meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Tacoma is being planned for the near future and all those present at the last meeting are urged to attend. Other alumni in this area who will also be informed of the coming meeting include the following: Chauncey Baxter '10, C. I. Ingram '15, George McCarthy '15, Norton Younglove '22, George Tart '33 and Ted McDonald '30. All other local alumni are requested to contact the Secretary at 1710 Sylvester Street, Olympia.
