Ted Morehouse, who went to work for the Macmillan Company in Chicago in 1900 and has been serving as Vice President for a number of years, has just retired but will still continue to serve on the Board of Directors. He was recently given a company dinner party and presented with a silver cigarette case as a parting gift from his longtime friends in the company. Ted made a trip to the Philippines and Japan this last summer, and then had a vacation in Northern Ireland where his daughter lives, then returned to the States October 1. He and Mrs. Morehouse plan to make their future home in California, possibly in Berkeley.
"L. O." Merrill has returned to his home in Pittsfield, N. H., following a sojourn at the hospital for a serious operation CarlOwen writes he is in very good health and is looking forward to our reunion in 1951.
Henry and Mildred Taylor were registered at the Hanover Inn in October ClaudeButterfield continues his active work for the Save The Children Federation, Inc., as National Representative for New England. His daughter is in her second year at Wheaton College Steve Stevens is now associated with the D. L. Bromwell Company of Washington, the largest distributors of fireplace equipment in the city, and is principally interested in the sales and advertising activities of the company.
Jimmie Howe continues his work .in Waterbury, Vermont, and says he is as well as he has been for years, and is planning to be in Hanover in 1951 Johnnie Ward enjoyed a hunting trip down in Maine in October. He represented the class at Harold Hathaway's funeral.
George Sunderland is another one who hopes to be with us in Hanover for the 50th. It would be good indeed to see George as very few of us have had that pleasure since the old days down in Elm House.
