Inter-Class Ski Race
March 1949

On Sunday, March 20, the Inter-Class Downhill Race of the Dartmouth Outing Club will be held on the Snapper Trail at Mt. Moosilauke for the first time since 1942. The trophy for this race, which is open to all undergraduates and alumni except current varsity and freshman ski squad members, was donated by John R. McLane '07 and Mrs. McLane, parents of two former Dartmouth ski team captains.

The times of the best four men from each class will be scored as the time for that class, and the class with the best combined time will be the winner. The names of the scoring men and their class will be inscribed on the trophy and individual prizes will be awarded as well.

Entries (entry fee per man is fifty cents) will close at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at the Ravine Camp and the race on the Class "C" Snapper Trail will begin at 11 a.m. An informal party is planned for Saturday night. For reservations write to Bob Hooker '30 Manager, Moosilauke Ravine Camp, Warren, N. H.

Held twice before, the event was won by the class of 1941 in 1941 and by the class of 1944 the following year.
