The Board of trustees of the College held its annual spring meeting in Hanover on March 11 and 12. Main item of business was a thorough study of operating income and expense at present and for the years immediately ahead. February degrees were voted and the proposed new retirement plan for faculty and staff was discussed.

Sherman Adams '20, inaugurated in January as Governor of New Hampshire, attended his first Board meeting as an exofficio Trustee. Besides President Dickey, others present were John R. McLane '07, Manchester, N. H.; Victor M. Cutter '03, Boston; Edward S. French 'O6, Boston; Dr. John F. Gile '16, Hanover; Dudley W. Orr '29, Concord, N. H.; Harvey P. Hood '18, Boston; and Sigurd S. Larmon '14, New York City. Unable to attend were William W. Grant '03, Denver; Nelson A. Rocke feller '30, New York; and Beardsley Ruml '15, New York.
