The Dartmouth Club of Nashua, N. H. had its spring meeting at the Howard Johnson Restaurant, April 25 at 6:30 P.M. As guests of the Club that evening we entertained three of our high school undergraduates, one of whom had been notified of his acceptance into Dartmouth, class of 1953, that very morning. The other member of this year's high school graduating class to be accepted is Jack Crisp, son of Dr. Norman Crisp '2l. Jack was oil a trip to New York with the school basketball team and was unable-to attend the meeting.
Also present as guests of the club were two members of this year's junior class at the high school, John Parker, son of Ralph Parker 'l6, and Richard Neilson who makes his home with the Crisp family. These two are prospective candidates for next year's freshman class.
After a delicious meal, interrupted on one or two occasions by a song led by Bob Brown 'l6, President Harry Coronis called on JimCoffin 'l6 for a report, on the Glee Club arrangements. Jim reported that his committee had been unable to work out satisfactory arrangements with the group to enable them to set a date for this season.
The meeting was then turned over to the chairman of the evening (perennial, that is) Kelly Coffin '43, who introduced Eddie Chamberlain '36, Assistant to the Director of Athletics at Dartmouth. Eddie did a splendid job covering practically all phases of college life, '949 style. His grasp of the many problems which the College faces was impressive. There is no doubt that the members came away from this meeting with a much clearer picture of what Dartmouth is actually like today.
Eddie had brought along some film and the meeting was concluded with the showing of last year's Princeton football game.
