Rolland Collection

A COLLECTION of photographs and holograph letters and postcards of Romain Rolland were recently presented to the Dartmouth College Library through the Friends of the Library by Professor Howard F. Dunham '11 of the Romance Languages department. The list of material includes three postcard-size photographs of Rolland with presentation inscriptions to Professor Dunham and two souvenir postcards, six holograph letters and one holograph postcard from the author to Professor Dunham. In addition there are three other photographs, one of Rolland with a presentation inscription to Professor Dunham; a second of Rolland and Gandhi; and a third of Rolland and Togare, bearing Rolland's autograph and on the reverse side a six line quotation in the author's handwriting with a presentation inscription.
