AN AMENDMENT TO THE Constitution of the General Alumni Association of the College, adopted at the annual meeting in Hanover June 18, grants full privileges of membership to "all former students." There has previously been a requirement in effect that only degree holders were eligible to membership in the over-all Dartmouth Alumni Association. Voting in Alumni Council elections and membership on the Alumni Council is limited to members of the Association who are defined as all former students, regardless of completion of the college course, according to the action of June 18.
John L. Sullivan '21, chairman o£ the Association's executive committee and a member of the Alumni Council, reported at the annual meeting last month and recommended that the action be taken. The new Article II in the Alumni Association Constitution, defining membership, now reads in its amended form as follows:
All former students of the College, the Medical School, the Thayer School of Engineering, the Chandler School of Science and the Arts, and the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, shall be members. Others who receive from the College an honorary degree, or are elected at an annual meeting, shall be honorary members, but without the right of voting.
