Many new offices and fireproof construction throughout will be the main features of the remodelled Thornton Hall, on which extensive repairs have recently been started. The building is being completely gutted in order to put in steel and concrete construction, to widen the corridors, and to make room for classrooms and offices.
The exterior will not be altered, but the interior will have nearly the same finish as Wentworth Hall.
The whole top floor, with the exception of one classroom, will be devoted to offices which the college has needed for a number of years, leaving the first two floors for classrooms. It is expected to be completed about July 1.
