It must be most satisfying to reach the top in your craft whether it be carving a woodcut or writing travel books.

Sydney Clark has reached that eminence and in his newest book, All the Best in Holland, he leaves nothing to be desired. He tells the traveller everything he wants to know, and he tells it simply, entertainingly, and well. Furthermore it is up-to-the-minute information.

"Passengers for Shannon, Amsterdam, Flight 638, please board your plane," a cry known to thousands, is echoed by Mr. Clark. He tells how to get to Holland from Idlewild, Hoboken, from England or from Belgium. He tells the traveller what to take, where to go, what to see, and how best to spend his money.

Knowing of the interest aroused by the destruction and devastation caused by Germany he tells the reader about that, too. The names of Rotterdam, The Hague, Scheveningen, Arnhem, Nijmegen, once front-page headlines, and the terrific struggle for Walcheren Island, become familiar again through Mr. Clark's facile pen.

He offers lots of practical advice, gained from many of his own trips to Holland. He tells of weather expectancy, what to wear, what to carry, about money and how to stretch it, about mail, cigarettes, customs' exemptions, taxis, automobile clubs, and many other things.

I would no more go to Holland without his book than I would go without a ticket or money. It is indispensable.
