During his recent leave of absence Prof. Francois Denoeu published three books: a novel L'Amour en bouton, which will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE; two one-act plays, Moliere at ses amis and LesGaietes de la consigne, Librairie Mordacq, Aire-sur-la Lys; and a textbook BeginningFrench, published by the Ronald Press.
A second edition of Physical Chemistry forPre Medical Students, by Prof. John P. Amsden '20, has been published by McGraw-HillCompany. This book is brought up to date by revisions and the inclusion of new material with regard to Thermodynamics and chemical equilibrium.
Recent publications of Prof. Wing-tsit Chan are: Within the Four Seas All are Brothers,in Great Expressions of Human Rights, edited by R. M. Maclver, Harper Cos. pp. 19-28: Tensions in World Religions—Harmony in Chinese Religions, appearing in the April issue of the Bostonian and reprinted in the July issue of the Christian Leader. This article also appeared in the July 28 and August 4 issues of the Chinese Press San Francisco. The Contributions of the East to the West, in Conference on Constructive Forces in Education, was published by Wellesley College in 1949. Also Professor Chan and others have articles appearing in the Filosofia del Oriente, entitled El Espiritu de la Filosofia Oriental and Historia de la Filosofia China.
Profs. Irving E. Bender and Albert H. Hastorf are the authors of The Perceptionof Persons: Forecasting Another Person's Responses on Three Personality Scales, which has been reprinted from the July issue of The Journal of Abnormal and Social Psychology.
Professor Wing-tsit Chan is the author of an essay The Harmony of Religions, which appeared in the June issue of World Outlook and also in the July issue of The ChristianLeader.
