Miss ILSE BISCHOFF, New York artist who also has a home at Hartland, Vt., made a gift to the College in August of an oil painting, three drawings, and seven prints.

The painting, "Street Fight," is by Jared French, as is one of the drawings, a head of a young man. The other drawings, "Female Nude A-9" and "Susie," are the work of Paul Cadmus.

A lithographic print, "Three Figures on a Bench," is by Carmen L. Browne. Prints of etchings by Cadmus are "Horseplay," "Shore Leave," and "The Fleet's In." The other prints are of etchings executed by French and are entitled "Basketball Player," "Street Fight," and "Prize Fighter and His Lady."

Miss ftischoff has given some of her own works to Dartmouth in the past, namely "Harlem Loge," winner of the 1945 Pepsi Cola prize, and a set of woodcuts. Ex- hibitions of her work have been held at the College in 1947 and 1949.
