It may seem a bit late to mention our Dartmouth-Cornell smoker November 12 but it was a memorable event on our calendar of activities. Twenty-two loyal sons of Dartmouth gathered and though outnumbered by the newly formed Cornell Club we made a lot more noise. Many of the men in the area made a special effort to attend and I am sure that they found it well worthwhile. The actual game was perfectly dramatized on a gridgraph designed, constructed and operated by Dick Steele of Cornell. The interpretation of the play-by-play report via special wire was handled by a professional announcer.

On December 28 Bob Hage '35 was in town and we changed our luncheon date in order that the club members, undergraduates and prospective undergraduates could all get together. Thirty-seven men attended including sixteen guests. Our Alumni Council representative, Bob Pierce '25, has certainly rounded up a fine group of young men from this area who are interested in Dartmouth and it is a certainty that South Florida will be well represented at Dartmouth.

Most all of the local group had an opportunity to see Dave Beeman perform in the annual Shrine North-South game and in spite of the fact that the team he was plaving on was from way up yonder we were glad to be able to see a Dartmouth man in action.

Everyone is looking forward to our annual banquet on January 25 when we play host to Prof. Arthur M. Wilson. This banquet will be held at the Miami Springs Country Club, Miami, Fla. All loyal Dartmouth men please plan to attend, for reservations contact the club secretary, Chuck Garnsey '20.
