THE RESULTS OF nomination and election procedures to fill vacancies on the Alumni Council for next year are announced in a special mailing to all alumni and in this issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. In all of the seven Alumni Council Districts of the country positions on the Council are being filled without contest as a result of nominations by the alumni clubs in each area. The members who are continuing for second and final terms, and those starting first terms of office, are listed below:
DISTRICT I (New England States): Charles W. Bartlett '27 of Boston, succeeding H. Clifford Bean '16, Boston.
DISTRICT II (Middle Atlantic States): John C. Heston '28 of Philadelphia, succeeding H. Sheridan Baketel Jr. '20, Philadelphia.
DISTRICT 111 (Central States): Raymond M. Barker '23 of Cleveland, succeeding Edouard J. Petrequin '25, Cleveland; and Justin A. Stanley '33 of Chicago, continuing for a second term of two years.
DISTRICT IV (Middle-western States): James E. Cooney '38 of Des Moines, succeeding Frank. T. Frey '38 of Milwaukee.
DISTRICT V (Southern States): George V. Parkhurst '30 of Baltimore, continuing for a second term of two years.
DISTRICT VI (Southwestern States): William E. Rench '34 of St. Louis, succeeding Boyd Rogers '35, St. Louis.
DISTRICT VII (Western States): Lincoln S. Wilson 'l3 of San Francisco, succeeding Dr. William W. Washburn '14 of San Francisco; and John S. Mauk '24 of Seattle, succeeding James W. Hodson '29, Seattle.
The above new and continuing Alumni Councillors were declared elected by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the General Association of Alumni, when nominations closed March 10.
NEW MEMBERS FROM WESTERN STATES: Among those elected to the Dartmouth Alumni Council were Lincoln S. Wilson 'l3 (left) of San Francisco and John S. Mauk '24 of Seattle, both starting their first term.
