Dartmouth Night

Palaeopitus last month designated Friday, October 20, the eve of the Lehigh football game, as the date of the 56th observance of Dartmouth Night. Established' in 1895 by President William Jewett Tucker as a means of welcoming freshmen into the Dartmouth fellowship, Dartmouth Night is now an occasion for both students and alumni to reaffirm their loyalty to the College. The Hanover celebration, which will be combined with a football rally, will serve as the parent gathering for other meetings of Dartmouth men throughout the world.
