Under President Emeritus Hopkins as regional chairman for all of New England, Dartmouth men took a leading part in last month's Crusade for Freedom campaign in New Hampshire. Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, was chairman for the state, Robert L. Allen '45 of Hanover was executive secretary, and Prof. George F. Theriault '33 was motorcade director. Parker M. Merrow '25 of Center Ossipee served as Carroll County chairman, and state sponsors included Governor Sherman Adams '20, Judge Amos N. Blandin Jr. '18, Dr. Robert O. Blood '13m, the Rt. Rev. John T. Dallas (D.D. '22), and Lt. Col. Corey Ford'——.

The goal of last month's Crusade for Freedom drive was to raise funds for two new European stations for Radio Free Europe which has been broadcasting democracy's story to people behind the Iron Curtain.
