A SPRING ski school to be held at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge in two sessions of five days each has been announced by Robert S. Monahan '29, Manager of Dartmouth Outing Properties.
Planned primarily for high school and preparatory school skiers who wish to obtain instruction during their spring vacations, the sessions are scheduled for March 17-22 and March 25-30. Director of the school is Ted Moody, head instructor of Dartmouth's Physical Education Ski Program during the past three seasons, and in charge of the Moosilauke Division of the Hanover Inn Ski School since 1949. Mrs. Lib Fitzgerald, who is a graduate nurse and certified ski instructor of the U.S. Eastern Amateur Ski Association, will also be a member of the teaching staff. She has taught under Luggi Foegger at Yosemite and Friedl Pfieffer at Aspen. Bob Hooker '30, Manager of the Ravine Lodge, will offer full facilities, including its 2,000-foot ski tow, to the members of the ski school.
The Ravine Lodge, the site of which is portrayed on the cover of this month's MAGAZINE, is at an elevation of 2500 feet, on the leeward slope of Mount Moosilauke, assuring the maximum snow cover available. It is the highest location in New Hampshire where overnight accommodations are provided skiers.
Applications for the ski school should be directed to Robert E. Hooker, Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, Warren, N. H.
