With Hilton Field still buried in snow, Coach Tommy Keane's mashie-wielders ventured into the marginal South, meeting George Washington, Johns Hopkins, and Navy, after a preliminary period of acclimatization to the great out-of-doors. The team is led by the rotund Duke Carey and he and Ed Eichler are the only two lettermen in the group. There are however several men who have played in varsity competition in other years. This group includes Chief Cornish, Howie Bissell, and John Southworth. Bill Fast and Bob Styles are both sophomores and have not yet been in big league competition. The per- ennial difficulty with the golf team is the Hanover weather, and this year Coacli Keane opines that, with a few decent days for practice, the boys should pleasantly surprise everyone, including themselves. We wish them luck.
