ATHLETIC COUNCIL RATIFIES ELECTIONS OF CAPTAINS
August 1924

The elections of N. D. Bugbee '25 to captain the Dartmouth track team, F. T. Osgood '25, as captain of tennis and W. H. Taft '25 as captain of the golf team have been ratified by the Athletic Council. Bugbee has for the past two seasons been Dartmouth's highest scorer in the high hurdles, placing fourth in the Intercollegiate meet last year and winning the event in the Yale-Dartmouth-Pennsylvania triangular meet during the past season. Injuries have kept him from several meets this season, but Coach Hillman counts upon him to be one of the Green's most consistent performers next year. He is treasurer of his class, a member of the Green Key, Palaeopitus, Casque and Gauntlet, and the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Osgood, who captained the Dartmouth tennis team this year was captain of his freshman tennis team and has- been a member of the varsity team for two years. He also won his letter in cross-country, captaining his freshman team and winning a straight letter as a member of the varsity team. He will captain the varsity cross-country team next fall. Osgood is a member of the Green Key, the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and the Sphinx senior society.

W. H. Taft, college golf champion and runner-up recently to Dexter Cummings, of Yale, in the Intercollegiate Golf Championship has been for two years a leading member of the Dartmouth golf team. He is a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
