The newly appointed Headmaster of Kimball Union Academy, Frederick E. Carver '27, has assumed his new position after 16 years of service in the school.

William R. Brewster '18, who resigned as Kimball Union's headmaster for reasons of health, has been named Director of Public Relations, and will devote such time as his health permits to the Academy's alumni and parents organizations.

Headmaster Carver, whose department is mathematics, knows at first hand the workings of many of the Academy's administrative activities.He has served as Director of Admissions for the past 15 years and is well acquainted with Kimball Union boys and their records. He has also acted as Assistant Headmaster and been in charge of the school during periods when Mr. Brewster was away. Since 1939 Mr. Carver has coached football and baseball.

Before going to Kimball Union, he taught for nine years at Lebanon, N. H., High School. In 1938 he received the Master of Arts degree from Dartmouth for graduate work done at the College and at Harvard.
