THROUGH THE GENEROSITY of a Dartmouth man who wishes his name withheld in this grateful acknowledgment, the entire cost of sending copies of the ALUMNIMAGAZINE to the libraries of army camps and naval stations throughout the country is underwritten.
The plan began with the March issue when copies were sent to all camps where one or more Dartmouth men are located. Because there are upwards of 200 camps and stations on the mailing list for this service the cost assumed some considerableproportions and the plan was adopted, because of its desirability, without the means of financing it.
The gift to the MAGAZINE was accompanied by a note saying that the donor would like to have it kept anonymous, "although," he wrote, "you can always refer to an un-named alumnus who is too decrepit to fight." The action is just as thoughtful as it is generous. We are very grateful and believe that hundreds of young Dartmouth men will be equally appreciative when they find copies of the Dartmouth publications on the reading tables of their camp libraries.
