Macdonald Memorial

As a memorial to Allan Macdonald his friends and colleagues in Hanover are assembling a collection of books, presumably to be kept in Sanborn House, which will represent his varied interests. If any alumnus wishes to contribute to this memorial, checks should be sent to Prof. Francis E. Merrill, treasurer. Some friends may wish to contribute in a more personal way by sending some especially fine book on one of Professor Macdonald's main interests: American literature, Romantic poetry, the sea and its ships, gardening, painting, or New England antiquities.
