Western Oklahoma

The Dartmouth Club of Western Oklahoma with headquarters in Oklahoma City sponsored a Christmas season cocktail party at the Beacon Club and is looking forward to sponsoring other events during 1952. For the past two years the Club has presented "The Dartmouth Cup" to an outstanding senior boy at Cassidy School, an Oklahoma City preparatory institution. The 1950 presentation was made by U. S. Senator Mike Monroney. Don Haskins, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lynwood Haskins of Oklahoma City, was the 1951 award winner. (Note: Robert Hage '35 has a photograph of the 1951 presentation.)

Colcord Callahan '43 is president of the organization which has a potential 100% attendance of 34 alumni scattered throughout the western half of the State but mainly concentrated in Oklahoma City. At present the Club's committee charged with interviewing prospective freshmen class candidates is at work discussing the College with interested and qualified young men. Dick Riggs '42 heads that committee.
