THE RESULTS OF nominations and elections to fill vacancies on the Alumni Council for next year were announced last month by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the General Association of Alumni, when nominations closed March 10. Positions on the Council are being filled without contest in the seven Alumni Council Districts of the country as a result of nominations by the alumni clubs in each area. Members who are continuing for second and final terms, and those starting first terms of office, are listed below:

DISTRICT I (New England States): Charles W. Bartlett '27 of Boston reelected for a second term of two years.

DISTRICT II (Middle Atlantic States): John C. Heston '28 of Philadelphia reelected for a second term of two years.

DISTRICT III (Central States): Raymond M. Barker '23 of Cleveland reelected for a second term of two years; and Roger C. Wilde '21 of Chicago, first term of two years, succeeding Justin A. Stanley '33 of Chicago.

DISTRICT IV (Middle-western States): James E. Cooney '38 of Des Moines reelected for a second term of two years.

DISTRICT V (Southern States): F. Jordan McCarthy '26, Baltimore, who earlier was unable to serve a customary second term because of war service, will succeed George V. Parkhurst '30 of Baltimore for a term of two years. Joseph H. Lane '21 of Chattanooga will fill the unexpired term of one year of Robert W. Pierce '25, Providence, R. 1., formerly of Miami.

DISTRICT VI (Southwestern States): Howard J. Mullin '27 of St. Louis, first term of two years, succeeding William E. Rench 34 of St. Louis.

DISTRICT VII (Western States): Lincoln S. Wilson '13 of San Francisco and John S. Mauk '24 of Seattle, both reelected for second terms of two years.
