The first to fill a newly created position in the Ford Motor Company, Charles F. Moore Jr. '25 as a member of the Administration Committee is now in charge of all public relations activities for that company. He has relinquished his partnership in the firm of Earl Newsom & Company, New York public relations consultants, to take his new job in Dearborn. Mr. Moore is an alumni member of Dartmouth's Committee on Public Relations.

Immediately following his graduation from Dartmouth, Mr. Moore began his active career in the newspaper world as a reporter on The Boston Herald. From 1927 until 1946 he was director of promotion for Nation's Business,The Washington Post, and the BostonGlobe successively. In 1946 he left the newspaper field to become executive secretary for Governor Robert F. Bradford of Massachusetts, a post he filled for two years. He entered the firm of Earl Newsom & Company as a partner in 1949. He and his wife, the former Adeline Nichols whom he married in 1928, have two daughters and two sons, the elder of whom, Jonathan, is a member of the Class of 1954.

Known to be a rapid-fire organizer and worker, it is not surprising that myths about Mr. Moore have sprung up in his wake. One is that a friend once discovered him temporarily unconscious after a Dartmouth-Harvard football game. Turning Moore's inert form over in a careful inspection, the friend announced, "Just as I thought—no moss."
