THE Rev. Harland G. Lewis, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, last month became the new minister of the Church of Christ in Hanover. He succeeds the Rev. Chester B. Fisk.

A graduate of Hiram College, Ohio, Mr. Lewis comes to Hanover from the Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor, Maine, where he has served as pastor since 1947. He received the Bachelor of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School in 1941, and also studied at Harvard Graduate School. For two years he was affiliated with Andover Academy as Chaplain and Instructor in Religion. From 1944 until 1947 he acted as pastor of the First Congregational Church in Wilton, Maine.

In addition to his ministerial and parish work at the Hammond Street Congregational Church, Mr. Lewis has been on the faculty of the Bangor Theological Seminary, teaching homiletics. Mrs. Lewis also holds the Bachelor of Divinity degree from Yale University. The Lewises are the parents of two boys and a girl.
