The sympathy of the class will be extended to Fred Carpenter in the death of his wife last fall. Fred is still connected with the same firm in Lancaster, N. H., that he has been with for some years.
No doubt you were all interested in the article in the last issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, entitled "Victory at Sea." In our correspondence with Mrs'. Stetson, we find that our classmate had written many treatises on higher mathematics, as well as editing several books on the same subject, and that he was a member of the Societe Mathematique de France.... Tommie Reinsert recently was in Connecticut attending a wedding, but he managed to get some time off and beat it for New Canaan, where he and HarryGilmore had a grand get-together. Gillie has been busy these days getting wood ready for the fireplace, but, sad to relate, it all came from his beloved trees that suffered severe damage in the last ice storm.
We have lost another of our most loyal and faithful classmates. Ros Bogue passed away at his home in Lansing, Mich., just before Christmas. Ros was not able to complete his College course but we know of no classmate who absorbed more class and College spirit than he. One of his chief delights was to get back to Hanover with Beulah for reunions. They always looked forward with great expectation to those grand times, and always came away with deep satisfaction. Fie was always a most generous contributor to the Alumni Fund.
Jack and Edith Andrews experienced a grand trip through Florida in December with their son. They covered over 4200 miles and hit most of the high spots.
