Two Clearing House Branch dinners were held early in April Boston's on April 8 and New York's on April 10. Wes Beattie T'34, manager, and Charlie Brown T-Th'42, secretary, get credit for arranging the Boston affair. Edwin B. Coltin, treasurer and director of profit sharing of the Ayer, Mass., division of the Colonial Tanning Co., spoke on "Profit Sharing in Industry." Representing the Faculty were Acting Dean Hill and Foster. The New York dinner was engineered by MalcolmMcLoud T-Th'47, with Harry Chamberlaine T'22 presiding. The speaker was H. F. Smiddy, vice president, Management Consultation Services Division, General Electric Co. Tuck School faculty was represented by Messrs. Duncombe and Griswold.
Mr. Frey was a guest of the Kendall Company on March 26 at a Boston dinner of The Newcomen Society of England in honor of Henry P. Kendall. Lt. Dick Echikson T'51 is Chief of Military Personnel for the Far Eastern District of the Auditor General, USAF. He reports, "The job has proven to be both interesting and educational. My duties require quite a bit of traveling. I have already visited Guam, Okinawa, and the Philippines, and anticipated travels include Korea, Hong Kong and Indo-China." General Ike Miller T'23, Director of Accounting for the Air Force, has never a dull moment in his job of installing commercial accounting procedures throughout Air Force operations. This task will take many years to complete, with well over a million different items and billions of dollars involved. Leighton Tracy T'22 expresses "great satisfaction in building up Globe-Wernicke's equipment business with large national accounts across the country." He's enthusiastic about the company's new-product developments, which make the selling job easier.
Lew Johnstone T'42 finds time to teach a course in material handling at Ohio Mechanics Institute in Cincinnati, in addition to running his Flow Equipment Cos.; John Schalles T'51 has joined Okaydee Cos., Chicago, manufacturers of industrial and railroad valves, as a sales trainee. Five of the Tuck 1952 class who received Air Force commissions last summer have volunteered for overseas duty and will leave shortly Ted Eberle, Shorty Allison and Mike Conway for Europe, and JohnClayton and Jack Hastings for Japan.

Y.; Harvey Turnure T'48 is with duPont, selling Zerex and Zerone antifreeze, with headquarters in West Springfield, Mass.; Andy McDowell T'48 handles special sales assignments for Eastman Kodak; AbeHinman T'49 sells steel for Rome Strip Steel Co.; Jack Williams T'47, recalled to active service with the Marines, has returned from Korea where he went through lots of combat, and is now with Prudential Life in Newark; Spence Johnson '48 sells group insurance for Ætna Life, out of Rochester, N. Y.
