Leaving Hanover and the North Country's last snowfall of the season behind him, President Dickey with Mrs. Dickey departed last month for the West Coast, by way of Mexico. At Los Angeles on April 28 he spoke at Town Hall at noon. The title of his talk was "The Outlook for Collective Security." That evening he was the guest of honor and speaker at a dinner given by the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Southern California. On April 29 his itinerary took him to San Diego, where he spoke at an alumni luncheon.

On May 1 President Dickey will be the guest of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern California and Nevada in San Francisco. He goes to the Dartmouth clubs of Portland and Eugene, Ore., on May 4 and 5 respectively. On May 6 he "will speak before the Spokane and Inland Empire Dartmouth Alumni Association in Spokane, Wash.

President Dickey's last speaking engagement on his Western trip will be at a dinner meeting with the Dartmouth Club of Western Washington in Seattle on May 8.

Herbert F. West '22, Professor of Comparative Literature, who goes to San Francisco to meet May 13 with the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern California and Nevada, will also speak before the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Southern California at a luncheon in Los Angeles on May 15.

Joseph L. McDonald, Dean of the College, will be the guest of honor in Schenectady, N. Y., on May 6, when he talks to the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Eastern New York; and Stearns Morse, Dean of Freshmen, will address the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Rhode Island in Providence, on May 20.

Other speakers during May are George H. Col ton '35, who will be the main speaker at the Dartmouth Club of Worcester on May 14, in Worcester; and on May 21 will be the guest of the Long Island Dartmouth Club. Ralph A. Burns, Professor of Education, will address the Dartmouth Club of Glens Falls, N. Y„ at a dinner meeting on May 15.
