TO THE ALUMNI

The Friends of the Dartmouth Library have printed in an edition of only 1,000 copies a unique whaling story by Captain Albert Wood of Nantucket who lived to survive the terrible jaws of a sperm whale about a century ago. This log and personal account has been edited by his grandson, Professor George C. Wood of the Comparative Literature Department, and has been handsomely printed by the well-known book designer William Stone of the Sequoia Press, and illustrated with four new woodcuts by the eminent artist J. J. Lankes.

All profits go to the Friends of the Dartmouth Library who need your support. In this case you are helping yourself in helping the Friends. As more than half the edition is already sold an early order is desirable. This little book would make a fine Christmas remembrance. Discount on larger lots.

Send $2 to Herbert F. West, Hanover, N. H., and it will be sent postpaid. Make checks out to Dartmouth College.
