Development Director

The appointment of J. Ross Gamble as Director of Development at Dartmouth College was announced on October 25 by President Dickey.

Under the President, Mr. Gamble will have responsibility for the direction of development work throughout the College, including coordinating all activities in the fund-raising field. He will also continue as Special Assistant to the President.

Mr. Gamble, an honorary member of the Class of 1933, became associated with Dartmouth in the fall of 1950 after having engaged in the practice of corporation law for 15 years. He is a member of the District of Columbia and New Hampshire Bars and has continued as consultant to various corporate clients.

Since 1950 he has been engaged in development work for the College in the fields of estate planning and corporate gifts, and has served as Executive Secretary of the Alumni Council Committee on Bequests and Estate Planning.
