The last meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Western Washington was in celebration of Dartmouth Night at the College Club in Seattle on October 16. President Al Boncutter '32 presided, and Secretary Bill Holman '40 recorded "le mot bon et juste" of the appreciative gathering. Superior Court Judge JimHodson '29 reported on the Sam Barnes Scholarship Fund. The four-man canvassing committee, consisting of Bill Holman, LeeMcGonigle '36, Dick Woodward '39, and Chairman Tony Fredericks '49 reported on new candidates for fall matriculation from the public and private schools in this area. The Dartmouth Night record of commencement and President Eisenhower's speech was played before an enthusiastic audience. It was the consensus of the meeting that the honor the College bestowed on the President was matched by the President's "imperishable and informal comments." Our next meeting will be early spring.
Our Seattle Club luncheon meetings are indefinite. Visitors phone W. Howard '00, LAnder 0436.
