Our annual meeting was held this year on Friday, April 30, at the Eola Plaza Hotel in Orlando, and despite the small turnout, the enthusiasm and fellowship were excellent. To echo a remark of one of our old guard, "It was the best ever."

With Roger (Oldsmobile) Holler '37 entertaining for cocktails, the group cheerfully broke into the strains of "My Merry Oldsmobile" in hearty appreciation of their host's generous gesture. Two members journeyed over from New Smyrna Beach, and mysteriously disappeared before the "Eisenhower at Dartmouth" film could be shown. Strange the forms that partisan politics will take.

Earlier this year the Club enjoyed Dartmouth Night together at Harper's Tavern. Another affair that merits mention was an "Eastern College Meeting" which the Club sponsored in an effort to interest local high schoolers in going "up East" for their educations. Hugh Schwarz '40, enrollment chairman, handled the program beautifully, and now claims we have three high school principals in our hip pocket.

New officers elected for 1954-5 were Morgan W. Price '39, President; Richard H. Proctor '43, Vice President; Hugh W. Schwarz '40, Secretary-Treasurer; Donald A. Cheney '11, Sanford Robinson '24, Roger W. Holler '37 and Dr. Lan MacDonald '44, new board members.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE: Dean Joseph L. McDonald, guest speaker at the Springfield Dartmouth Club, regales his listeners with some of the lively aspects of the Hanover setting. Left to right: F. Warren Miller '40, secretary-treasurer; Frederick S. Pillsbury '40, new president; Dean McDonald; Albert E. Mayer Jr. '37, outgoing president.
