A UNIQUE center of Dartmouth alumni activity is the Dartmouth College Club, located at 37 East 39th Street in New York City. This year it is rounding out its third decade as the only permanent club headquarters maintained by the alumni of the College.

In this 30th anniversary year the Club is emphasizing the fact that it is "New York headquarters for all Dartmouth men" and that membership is open to alumni from any part of the country. At the present time, more than a third of the Club's membership of approximately 1300 men is in the non-resident category, and a drive is now under way to reach a record total of such members, along with a peak number of active supporters from the New York metropolitan area.

With the lowest dues of any college club in New York, the Dartmouth Club has adopted a particularly low nonresident fee of $15 a year, plus tax, in order to make membership attractive for alumni who get to New York City occasionally. Just three blocks from Grand Central Station, the Club's facilities include residential and transient rooms, dining rooms, a bar, card room, library, meeting rooms, lounges and handball courts. Special services include ticket reservations for the theatre, sports events and travel.

The Club's vital role in Dartmouth alumni affairs extends well beyond its unique facilities. It is the focus for class events and official College conferences throughout the year, and for the past four years it has sponsored the Dartmouth College Club of New York Scholarship of $12OO a year. A constantly increasing membership is the life blood of the Dartmouth Club in New York, and with their current drive for fresh support the Club's officers are out to make it even truer that "you'll find 'Hanover' on 39th Street at Park Avenue."
