Frederic K. Upton '39 was elected president of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Merrimack County at its recent annual meeting in Concord, N.H. He succeeds Kneeland Swenson '40. Provost Donald H. Morrison spoke at the meeting, a dinner at the Eagle Hotel attended by 65 alumni and guests.

Other officers named were Robert Reno '38, vice president; Robert G. Pelren '43, re-elected secretary-treasurer; and on the executive committee, Dr. Robert C. Rainie '41, MortonTuttle '43, William W. Macurda '36, and Elliot W. Burbank Jr. '45. Chief Justice FrankR. Kenison '29 of the New Hampshire Supreme Court was named trustee of the group's scholarship fund, and Paul G. Richter '20, area interviewing chairman. Among those at the event was Judge Joseph S. Matthews '84, third oldest alumnus of the College.

The Association is planning to present a concert by the Dartmouth Glee Club on Saturday, February 18, as a benefit for the scholarship fund. It is the club's first appearance in Concord in a number of years, with alumni and friends being invited from all parts of the state. Dudley W. Orr '29, treasurer of the scholarship fund, reported $8,900 on hand, with $108 received during 1955. Provost Morrison described changes under way or contemplated at the College.
