On January 19, 20 and 21, the Alumni Council met in Minneapolis tor their fourth meeting outside of Hanover. Committee meetings and general conferences were held by them all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. The highlight of the three days so far as the local alumni were concerned was the Friday evening reception and banquet at the Minikahda Club. President Dickey and Coach Bob Blackman were the principal speakers and the 120 alumni, wives and Council members got an excellent picture of the current situation at the College. During the past few weeks, the writer has talked to many of those in attendance and everyone felt that it was the most successful affair we have had in Minneapolis for some time.

John Faegre, Herb Bissell, Bob Gibson, Morrow Peyton, Hal Wonson and others are to be congratulated on the fine program set up during the Council members' stay here.

Bob Hage, director of financial aid, and Coach Blackman both visited many of the local schools and talked to seniors interested in Dartmouth. In addition, John Meek presented a scholarship plaque to Washburn High School in the presence of the entire student body. Each year this plaque is presented to the school whose graduates attain the highest marks in their freshman year at Dartmouth.

At the Friday evening dinner, George McClintock '42 was elected president of the Northwest Alumni for the coming year. RobertW. Gibson '39 was chosen the new vice president; Lyman Wakefield '33 and Fred Gamble '50 continue as treasurer and secretary, respectively.

We were all very pleased to hear that Rodney Anderson was elected captain of the freshman hockey team.
