As announced last month, there was a meeting of the Class of 1947 Executive Committee, at the Dartmouth College Club in New York City on Saturday morning, March 17. (All past and present members were invited.) Present were retiring Alumni Fund Class Agent Al Bildner, Secretary-Chairman Jess Chadwell, Treasurer George Ferrarese, and newly appointed Class Agent BobSnedaker. Snow storms the previous day did not allow Newsletter Editor Hugh Chapin and Austin Lohse to attend as expected.
The Treasurer shows receipts have increased about $100 over the past year. This will be the first in several years that the Class Treasury has a surplus. We appreciate the conscientious effort George has shown over this period.
Preparation for the coming Alumni Fund campaign are well underway with the acceptance of over sixteen Assistant Class Agents, and with our help, Bob Snedaker is looking forward to a very successful year.
It is not too early to plan for our coming Tenth Reunion next year, in 1957. Al Bildner will be our reunion chairman. It will be his job to plan all functions, to do the initial preparation for a class roster and new class constitution. It will be a great time to be in Hanover.
