Ford H. Whelden '25, received the James B. Reynolds Trophy at the Boston class agents dinner in late March, in token of his being named, for 1955, the outstanding head agent of a class more than 25 years out of college. Following is the citation accompanying the Alumni Fund award:

Ford H. Whelden, Head Class Agent of the Class of 1925: your devotion to Dartmouth College was evident years before you became 1925's head agent. As Class Treasurer, Class Bequest Chairman, Alumni Council member and College staff worker, you displayed the same high enthusiasm and distinction that characterized your brilliant leadership of 1925's Alumni Fund fortunes in your first campaign last spring. But your Dartmouth service reached new heights as you guided 1925 to a glorious Green Derby victory by obtaining 418 contributors for 99% participation, and most significant, $28,349, the largest amount ever raised by a single class in the 41 years of the Alumni Fund. Your classmates are grateful for the imaginative and determined pace you set for them, and so is all Dartmouth. The Alumni Fund Committee is proud to make tangible this appreciation by honoring you as the outstanding head agent of a class more than 25 years out of college with the 1955 award of the James B. Reynolds Trophy.
