DR. DETLEV W. BRONK, president of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, will be the speaker at Dartmouth's 187th Commencement and Baccalaureate exercises, to be held Sunday, June 10, on the lawn of Baker Library. Some 600 graduating seniors will receive their degrees. William F. Behrens '56 of Abilene, Texas, prize-winning debater, Rufus Choate Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa, will give the valedictory address at the combined exercises. President Dickey, on behalf of the College, will deliver the traditional farewell to the seniors.

Dr. Bronk, noted for his work as an educator, scientist and administrator, served as President of Johns Hopkins University from 1948 to 1953. He heads the National Academy of Science, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and is chairman of the board of governors of the National Science Foundation. A well-known writer and lecturer, he has contributed to research in aviation medicine. In World War II he acted as coordinator of research for the Air Surgeon's Office of the Army Air Forces.

On June 9, Admiral Jerauld Wright, USN, Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic, and Commander U. S. Atlantic Fleet, will be the speaker at the commissioning ceremony for ROTC graduates, to be conducted in the Bema. In the Army ROTC unit, seniors who will be commissioned number 19; in the Navy, 66; and in the Air Force, go.

At the Commencement Luncheon speaking program, on June 9, President Dickey will preside and speakers will include Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College; Chester A. Zinn Jr. '56, chairman of the graduating class; and Thurlow M. Gordon '06, who will give the traditional Fifty Year Address.
