To mark the 25th anniversary of its graduation from Dartmouth, the Class of 1931 raised a Combined Fund in excess of 1107,650. At its class dinner in Hanover on June 16, a 1931 Memorial Fund of $90,000 was presented to President Dickey; the balance of the Combined Fund was applied to meeting in full 1931's quota of $17,650 for this year's Alumni Fund.

Added to financial support of the College through the Alumni Fund from 1932 through 1955, the Combined Fund of $107,650 raised total giving by 1931 as a class unit to $263,000 during the 25 years since its graduation.

The 25th year fund campaign was directed for the class by Charles S. McAllister '31 of New York, Memorial Fund chairman, and William F. Steck '31 of Cleveland, Alumni Fund class agent. At the reunion banquet in College Hall they jointly presented the class gift to President Dickey, who in thanking the members and wives of 1931 spoke of what it means in the life of the College to have such solid support as that given by the class.

Contributors to 1931's Combined Fund numbered 364 at the time of reunion. This number was due to increase as pledges were fulfilled by June 30.
