AN official summary of enrollment for the present academic year gives Dartmouth 2,818 undergraduates in the four classes. The sophomore Class of 1960 holds the numerical summit with 773 men, followed by 715 freshmen in the Class of '61, 659 men in '59, and 606 men in '58. Forty-three men from the Classes of 1949 to 1957 and 22 unclassified students round out the undergraduate total.

Also enrolled this fall are 161 full-time graduate students and 84 part-time graduate students for a grand total of 3,063, which compares with 3,092 last year. The undergraduate figure of 2,818 is down 34 from last year.

Tuck School holds its usual lead in associated school enrollment with no first-year and 62 second-year men, for a total of 172. Dartmouth Medical School has 24 men in each of the two classes, plus 52 part-time graduate students for a total of 100. Thayer School has 36 first-year and 24 second-year students for a total of 60. Sixteen men are enrolled in the Tuck-Thayer program, ten in the first year and six in the second.
