Dartmouth's scrappy hockey team has found the going a little rougher since last report, posting two victories against four defeats in the last month for an overall record of ten wins and nine defeats and a 3-2 mark in Ivy competition.

After swamping Army 9-2, the Dartmouth skaters lost to Boston University 5-1, were stopped by Boston College 6-3, and then posted an important win over Princeton 3-2. However, Yale, whom the Indians beat earlier 8-1, came back to beat Dartmouth in a close 3-2 game, while Harvard dropped Dartmouth down another notch in Ivy play by defeating the Indians 8-3 here on February 16.

The Dartmouth-Harvard game might have been close indeed except that the Crimson exploded for five goals in the first eight minutes of play and Dartmouth spent the rest of the game trying unsuccessfully to fight back.

After considerable early season lineup juggling, Coach Eddie Jeremiah has settled pretty much on his starting team with Ron Anderson and John Lanigan as wings, John Wadman at center and Dan Goggin and Tony Gittes at defense. Dick Frankenberg has been the top goal tender.

To an extent the Big Green has been hampered by a lack of depth and this shows up in the statistics. Center John Wadman is the leading scorer with 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points, while wing Rod Anderson also has 24 points on 10 goals and 14 assists, and John Lanigan has 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points. The next high scorer is, oddly enough, defenseman Dan Goggin with four goals and 17 assists for 21 points, while Tony Gittes has two goals and two assists. Dartmouth's first team has accounted for 96 points against 69 for all the other squad members.
