The Dartmouth Club of Virginia held its annual spring meeting in Richmond, February 25, partially to herald the advent of Spring and partially to welcome Sid Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, his wife and sister. Listening to Sid deliver an impromptu report on the present circumstances and the future of the College were the following members: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Mathewson '55 (she was the '54 Carnival Queen); Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gibson '15, Henry Gunst '41, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Cathcart '39, Mr. and Mrs. O. Lee Hodgkins '20, Mr. and Mrs. Roger D. Johnson '25, Mr. and Mrs. William H. King '33, Mr. and Mrs. Francis V. Lowden '37, Mr. and Mrs. Emlyn H. Marsteller Jr. '38, Mr. and Mrs. John H. O'Brion '32, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. Perkins '28, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Reeves '33, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Sweeney '46, Henry F. Stern '46 and Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Weston '18.
Elected unanimously to serve the club in the coming year were Larry Reeves '33, president; Jack O'Brion '32, vice-president; and Jack Cathcart '39, secretary-treasurer.
Prior to the dinner the Lawdens entertained the group at cocktails in their home. The evening ended with a film resume of the past football season, narrated by Coach Bob Blackman.
