The Dartmouth Club of Hartford opened its fall program Sept. 10 with a traditional luncheon for new freshmen from the Hartford area and their fathers. The program is only one of many lined up following the summer lull.

To go back a couple of months, the Hartford group ctosed out its 1958-1959 year with both a new and old program favorite. On May 1, over 160 members and their wives, children and guests turned out at the new Connecticut General Life Insurance Company building for an illustrated, and very well received, talk by Outing Club Director John Rand '38 on DOC activities. Paul D.Malinosky '46 was in charge of the program.

On June 16 the Hartford club took the DOC hint and took the outdoors itself, with not wholly successful results. Rain once again washed out the baseball game just as arms were getting limbered. Daniel N. Gage '32 and Mrs. Gage were kind enough to shepherd the wet crew from the Farmington Valley Polo Club grounds to their West Hartford home where the picnic was more sheltered but no less lively.

The Hartford club's officers for the coming year are: Culver A. Modisette '50 - reelected president; Eugene M. Davis '29 and Alan H. McAllister '48 — vice presidents; Robert C. Hunt Jr. '46 - secretary; John F. Day Jr. '47 - treasurer; William G. Fraser '51 - assistant secretary; and Allen V. Collins '53 - assistant treasurer.
