As we start a new year of reporting, the staccato of construction machinery floats through the open windows of our new administrative quarters at 41 College Street. The immediate cause is a mechanical digger which is busily ripping up the street to prepare a trench for steam pipes and utilities to the new Medical Science Building. On the site of the building itself, most of the excavation has been completed and the pouring of the cement foundation is well under way. The pleasure of witnessing the actuality of construction tends to compensate for the inconveniences, noise, and dust.
