Seaver Peters '54 of Melrose, Mass., has been appointed Business Manager of the Dartmouth College Athletic Council, succeeding Irving F. "Snuffy" Smith '41, who on September I became Assistant Commissioner for the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Peters captained the Dartmouth hockey team in 1953-54 and played both center and defense. After graduation he served as a lieutenant in the Air Force. He is married to the former Sally Ann Stanford and has a 2-year-old daughter. His father is Paul S. Peters '22 and his brother Paul A. Peters. "Snuffy" Smith had served as the DCAC's business manager since July 1947. In 1954 he assumed the additional post of Associate Director of Athletics. As Assistant Commissioner of the ECAC he will have his headquarters in New York City and will be in close touch with Dartmouth athletics.
