present "The College Teacher: 1959," a national story prepared cooperatively by a group of alumni and alumnae editors and appearing this spring in 250 magazines with more than two million readers. Last April, as one of the sponsoring magazines, we presented the first of these "Operation Moonshooter" features, designed to tell the story of U. S. higher education in broader scope and perspective than could be done by any one editor or magazine. The growth in one year from 153 to 250 participating magazines is not only evidence of alumni interest in the aspirations and problems of higher education in national terms but is also encouragement to the editors to plan more U. S. education reports for the future.
