On the eve of my preparation to go to Dartmouth for the Commencement in June I was confined to bed with a cold and have been unable to leave my home on Mt. Vernon Street throughout the summer. A recent attack of pneumonia finds me with two nurses attending and it considerably slowed down my active participation in correspondence with the friends and descendants of the class of '89.
